Peer Review Process
Lens: A Multidisciplinary Research Study/Review Journal (LMRSR) adheres to a clear, unbiased, and methodical peer-review process, which is intended to assure that all published papers are of high academic quality, novelty and impeccability. The review process is modeled in such a way as to be transparent, unbiased and supportive, enabling the authors to revise their work without compromising high standards of scholarship.
Peer Review Workflow
1. Manuscript Submission
Authors send their papers to the official submission channel of the journal together with the full details of the author, affiliation, and required declarations. The papers should be submitted in the form of the journal and according to the ethical standards to continue the process to the next level.
2. Preliminary Editorial Review
The editorial team does a screening in order to verify:
● Applicability to the objectives and scope of the journal.
● Simple formatting and structural needs.
● Clarity and quality of presentation of a language.
● Originality and compliance with plagiarism.
● General academic appropriateness.
Those manuscripts not satisfying these requirements might be sent back to authors to be revised and reviewed.
3. Double-Blind Review Assignment
The qualified subject experts are assigned to eligible manuscripts through a system of double-blind peer review where the identities of both authors and reviewers are not disclosed. Such an approach guarantees the lack of biases, avoids subjectivity, and encourages objective academic judgment.
4. Reviewer Evaluation
Academic parameters that are carefully analyzed in the manuscript by the reviewers include:
● Newty and addition to the field of study.
● Sensibility of research goals and methodology.
● Precision and thoroughness of analysis.
● Fluency and correctness of arguments.
● Appropriate referencing and citation.
● General learning merit and presentation standards.
Reviewers are known to make constructive comments and recommendations that would help to make the manuscript strong.
5. Decision & Author Revision
Depending on the opinion of the reviewer, the editorial team informs the author of one of the following decisions:
● Acceptance without changes
● Acceptance with Minor Revisions is where the offer is accepted but with slight modifications.
● Major Revisions Required
● Rejection
In cases of requested revisions, the authors are recommended to undertake the
recommendations of the reviewers seriously and submit the revised manuscript within the
stipulated time.
6. Final Editorial Decision
The editorial board or the reviewers re-evaluate the revised manuscript, where necessary. Once it is satisfied that everything has been considered, the editorial board gives the final publication decision.
7. Copyediting & Publication
Upon acceptance, the manuscript will be sent to copyediting, formatting, proofreading and the final publication on-line. Finally, proofs might be sent by the authors before publication. Such an organized peer-review process assists in ensuring consistency, fairness and scholarly integrity and provides the author with go-round scholarly feedback as well as secures publication of an excellent inter-disciplinary research.
